Dr. William C. Love, M.D.

William C. Love, M.D. of Deptford NJ passed away at home with his family by his side on May 4, 2018 at the age of 94.

William was born in Somerset, Ohio on November 11, 1923, attended Ohio State University and graduated with his medical degree. He then joined the United States Navy and served 3 years. Upon leaving the Navy Bill became the Company and community Physician for the coal company in Sharples, West Virginia. He was called back into the Navy during the Korean conflict and served as the flight surgeon in Pensacola, Florida. Afterwards Bill attended the University of Michigan Ann Arbor where he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He both spoke at the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and later published the same case report in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He moved to Pitman, NJ and joined an OB/GYN practice in Woodbury, NJ with Dr. Frederick Faux, where he practiced for 35 years. Bill enjoyed skiing, sailing, gardening and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes.

William is survived by his wife Shirley Marple Love, his children Chris Love and wife Donna, Robert Love, M.D., Kathleen Phillips and husband Jim, Greg Love, Sharon Widmaier and husband Chris, Robert Raynor and wife Debbie, and seven grandchildren and 10 great grand children.
