Vincent P. Abate, Jr - Barrington, NJ

Vincent P. Abate, Jr., age 76 of Barrington , NJ. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones in the early morning hours of Wednesday October 16, 2019.

Beloved husband and best friend of Wanda ( Ostrowski) for 51 years. Loving father of Vincent, Angela (Rich) and the late Marco. Devoted Poppie to his precious grandson, Devonte Vincent.

Born and raised in Camden, Vincent is the son of the late Vincent and Pauline Abate. Brother to Len, Thomas, Elaine (Wayne) DePrince and the late Dominick Abate and Thomas Priola. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Vincent attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Camden High School, where he was known as "A friend money can't buy". Vincent was charismatic and always enjoyed sharing his childhood memories of growing up in Camden.

He enjoyed many things, among those things were hunting with his boys, fishing, cooking, gardening and most of all his grandson. As an avid gardener the gardens on Sunset Road have brought many years of peace and joy to his family.

Vincent was truly a great man whose impact will forever be felt by the family that loves him dearly and knows that they will see him again. He was a selfless man whose passing has left a hole that only he can fill. His ability to love, sacrifice, support and forgive will forever be lessons to all he knew.

A memorial mass will be held for Vincent at Sacred Heart Church Ferry Ave. Camden, New Jersey on Friday October 25th, 2019 at 11 a.m.
