Obituary

Rose M. Molner

February 3, 1928 - December 6, 2025

Rose Molner, 97, passed away on Dec. 6th at the Maurice House in Millville, N.J.  Rose was the daughter of Julia and Stephen Furstinger and grew up in Paterson, N.J.

Rose graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in 1949 with a four year RN degree.   Rose worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in the maternity dept, assisting in the delivery of several of her nieces and nephews before moving to Milmay, NJ in 1954. She continued her nursing career in Millville Hospital as charge nurse on the third floor for over 20 years. Known there as "Van," she made lifelong friends of many of the staff she worked with. Rose continued her nursing career at the Vineland VA Hospital and the Phoenix VA Hospital. She closed out her nursing career at the Walson Army Hospital at Ft. Dix when that hospital closed.

Rose enjoyed traveling the United States and traveled to many countries with her sisters and daughters. She fulfilled a lifelong dream when she traveled to meet relatives in Hungary with several of her sisters. They visited the church that was a big part of her mother's life and loved to tell the story of how proud her uncle was to have his American family visiting.

Rose was predeceased by her son William (Billy) Van Kruiningen, parents Julia/Stephen Furstinger, siblings Julia Kubasta, Mary Furstinger, Frank Furstinger, Steve Furstinger, Marge Novak, Irma Eccles, and several nieces and nephews.

Rose is survived by her sister Dorothy Mackenzie, daughters Katherine (Charles) Morgan, Diane (David) Irrgang, grandchildren Dawn (Rob) Brownlee-Tomasso, Kevin (Tanya) Brownlee, Christopher Irrgang, great granddaughters Skylar and Arabella Brownlee and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rose was cremated and her internment will be at St. Mary's cemetery, East Vineland on her birthday, Feb 3rd, at the convenience of her family.
