Robert Paul Brein
5/9/1957-1/30/2023
Paul Brein, age 65, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family on January 30, 2023. Paul was born on May 9, 1957 in the Netherlands to the late Frits and Dolly Brein. The Brein family relocated to the US in 1961, and settled in Bellmawr, NJ where Paul and his 3 brothers were raised. Paul graduated from Triton High School in 1975. He lived a large part of his adult life in Southwest Virginia where he made lifelong friends. He then spent a few years in Fort Myers, Florida caring for his mother, until he returned to New Jersey where he spent the remainder of his life.
Paul spent most of his years working in the paper industry in printing and binding. He took great pride in his work and loved what he did. His recent years were spent working at Evergreen Printing in Bellmawr, facilitating the delivery and pickup of many various prints and newspapers. He was very well respected at his job and extremely knowledgeable in what he did.
Paul's most prized titles he wore were Dad and Grandad. He cherished his children and grandchildren and loved making memories with them all. He was predeceased by his first born, Lisa Brein-Perkins. She and Paul had an incredible bond and he longed for the day he would see her again. He is survived by his son Robert Paul II (Amanda), his daughter Taylor (JJ Kurtz), and his son Evan. Grandchildren: Kaleigh, Samantha, Alison, Amelia, and Nolan. He took great interest in watching his granddaughters excel at academics, softball, horseback riding and always encouraged them to do what they loved. He was teaching his grandson to take after him and become an expert in Philadelphia sports. He is also survived by his 3 brothers, Frits (Gale), Leo (Sue), and Michael. Paul treasured time spent with his family above all else.
Paul was an avid music lover, especially classic rock, and always loved to share his passion for great music with his children. He was a diehard Philadelphia sports fan, particularly the Eagles and Phillies, and predicted the Birds making the Super Bowl before the season started. He enjoyed reading, movies, and getting lost in Wikipedia rabbit holes. He was full of dad jokes, random knowledge, great advice, and so much love. Paul had the biggest heart and never hesitated to share anything he had with anyone who needed it. He will be sorely missed by his loved ones and will forever leave a deep imprint on their hearts.
"Only love can bring the rain
That makes you yearn to the sky
Only love can bring the rain
That falls like tears from on high
Love, reign o'er me"
