Richard Mazzella

March 13, 1970 – June 9,2023

Richard Mazzella (aka Richard C. Scott), 53, of Somerdale, NJ passed away Friday June 9, 2023 at Jefferson Hospital in Stratford, NJ.

Richard was Born on March 13, 1970 in Paterson, NJ to his parents Richard and Maria Scott.

Richard, better known as "Mazz" to his friends had a love and passion for baseball growing up in Marlton, NJ. He started playing baseball at the age of seven. He excelled in township organized baseball, varsity baseball at Cherokee High School and Burlington County Community College. He later went on to play for the Wilmington Blue Rocks, now a minor league affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. Baseball and sports remained his love, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

Richard was employed by Cherry Hill Triplex and worked as a service adviser. His sense of humor was not only known to his coworkers but to his customers as well. It will certainly be missed by all.

Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Tracy Ann Scott. He is survived by his parents, and wife Angela Mazzella, and his daughter Kylee and son Blake. In addition, he is survived by his brother Jason Scott and sister in law Stephanie and their daughter Colbie, residing in Holly Springs, NC  and Tala Scott , daughter of Jason, residing in Tabernacle, NJ.

Richard's passing was sudden and unexpected, and the family is planning a "Celebration of Life" service in the near future.
