Richard J. Jones Sr.

September 17, 1936 - January 2, 2021

Richard was born in West Philadelphia to Gertrude Curran and James Jones. He has joined his wife, Barbara Keisler Jones (unofficial mayor of Blackwood, NJ) of 50 years, in Heaven. Richard was a loving, humble and hilarious father to Richard Jones Jr (deceased), Lauren Jones of Absecon, Mary Agnes Jones (deceased) and Christopher Jones of Sedona, AZ. Survived by seven amazing siblings: Geraldine Haley, Martin Jones, Frances "Deacon" Jones, Pauline Milone Sheridan, Raymond Jones, Theresa Bright and Ronald Jones. A lucky Grandpop to Jeramiah, McHale, Deacon and Tirtza. Great Grandfather to Alexia and Aaron.  Blessed to be a patriarch in a huge Irish American family. So many beautiful loved ones to mention.

One could give you his life's history but it's how he loved and laughed that counts most. He would want you to remember him by a silly toast he gave at every occasion where his entire family would join in unison.... "As you walk the streets, you'll have no cares, if you walk the lines and not the squares. As you go through life make this your goal.... watch the donut not the hole!" Due to Covid, there will be no memorial at this time. The family will celebrate his life at a later date.
