Pauline R. Reeves (Nee Watson)
December 18, 1935- December 10, 2023
Pauline R. Reeves,87, of Berlin, NJ, went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully and surrounded by her family on December 10, 2023.
Pauline was born in Lenola, NJ to Richard and Paula Watson on December 18, 1935. Being the only girl of 4 children (brothers Raymond, Richard and Donald) she developed a strong, yet sweet, demeanor. Pauline was married to Reuben on March 2, 1953. Their marriage spanned 64 wonderful years, in which time they cultivated a beautiful, loving, and tight knit family.
Pauline loved to clean, and with 6 children, proved she enjoyed a challenge. She delighted in being active. Among her favorite activities were shopping at the Dollar store with her daughter in-law, exercising at Curves, and daily walks with her dog, Six. Paulines cooking prowess was undeniable, but her most sought-after dish was her famous cheesecake. She took a particular joy in Christmas. Her love made every year special, and she managed to include everyone in the celebration.
Pauline had a servant's heart. Her generosity, selflessness, and willingness to help anyone in need was a key personality trait. Her servitude carried over to her career as well. Pauline served the student body at Eastern Highschool lunch for the better part of 25 years and was adored by the children there. Her capacity for love was never-failing, and consistently welcomed anyone into her family without pretense or strings attached.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Reuben Reeves, son John Reeves, grandsons Jason Reeves and Joshua Sweeney, great granddaughters Francesca Sweeney and Hannah Ortiz and great great granddaughter Amaya Rose Snead , her father Richard Watson, mother Paula Watson and Brother Donald Watson.
Pauline is survived by her children Robert Reeves(Cathy), Kathy Ortiz (Peter), Janis Sweeney (Chuck), Chrissy Breder (Larry), and Edward Reeves, daughter in law Denise, and her 18 grandchildren, and 43 great grandchildren.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday December 16th at 10am.
