Margaret Avis Collins
On Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019 Margaret Avis Collins passed away at the age of 83. She was born in Camden to Harry H. and Margaret Avis who preceded her in death. Marge was also preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Cordner & her brother, Harry Avis.

Marge is survived by her children, Beverly Pond (Pete), Kimberly Collins Wichowski (Ron) and Keith Collins (Denise); 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. and many friends in Christ.

Marge received her RN from Bryn Mawr School of Nursing in 1956. She enjoyed a long career in helping others. Marge began her career working in labor and delivery, went to teaching LPNs and ended by working in elder care retiring from Cadbury Nursing Home.  Marge cared for her children, grandkids, other family and many friends. She was so happy to learn that many of her students went on to receive their RN, and a few also attended church with her. She loved music and the Lord. Marge served the Lord as pianist at Erial Community Church for many years. She loved her church family and friends. Marge always had a smile, showed compassion, kindness, and caring for everyone.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at Erial Community Church 1725 New Brooklyn Erial Road, Erial, NJ 08081 on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. This will be followed by fellowship to be announced at the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Marlton, NJ 08053 Their awesome care and music therapy program brought joy to Marge. Donations can be made specifically to the music therapy program if you wish.
