Lawrence A Moore 12/18/28-04/15/20

Lawrence A Moore of Somerdale NJ passed at home on April 15, 2020 at the age of 91. Lawrence was born in Jersey City to Anna & Thomas Moore on December 18, 1928. Youngest of five children; Ann,Thomas,Edward and Frances all pre deceased. Widower of Marilyn Moore whom he lovingly cared for till she passed away in 2008.

Resident of Jersey City until 1972 when he relocated to downtown Bayonne in 1972. He was lovingly known as the "mayor" of Humphrey Ave as he cared for every toddler, pet, tree, lawn, pool and curb.

In 2018 we were blessed to have him move to Somerdale with his family, His only child Glenda Garufi and her husband Joey Garufi. He spent the final years of his life enjoying activities with his grandchildren Jamie and Stefanie Garufi, Laura and Brian McBride, and Christie and Michael Kelley. Further blessed to make lasting memories with his great grandchildren Luke,Sofia,Pacey,Kaitlyn and Mady.

We will miss him terribly as he left an indelible mark on our lives and home. He was one of a kind. God wrote his final chapter with such grace. He left our home on April 15th 2020, but will never leave our hearts.
