Karen Schleifer

December 26, 1966 – November 1, 2024

Schleifer, Karen 57 passed away on 11/1/2024 quietly at home surrounded by family. She was born to Dr Jerome and Judith Schleifer in Margate, NJ.

Karen is survived by her husband Paul Spinosa, her daughter Jayna Petrosh, her stepdaughters Amanda Dent and Cara Spinosa. She is also survived by her sisters Ellen Nichols and Gayle McTighe. Karen was predeceased by her parents Jerry and Judith Schleifer.

Karen grew up in Margate, NJ and graduated from Atlantic City High School and attended Atlantic Community College. Karen was a lifelong casino employee starting out at the Claridge showroom as a captain, then onto Showboat, Resorts and finishing her career as a dealer at the Tropicana for 24 years. Although, it seemed she missed her calling as a home improvement specialist as she was always renovating and improving her home. HGTV could have had a great host.

Karen was an avid fan of surf and snow. Anything to do with the beach or skiing, Karen was ready to venture out. She was a Surfer T fashionista with an extensive collection from her East coast travels. Her most recent favorite was Hilton Head, SC, where she was introduced to the Savannah Bananas.

Karen was the most selfless person and the most determined woman to have graced our presence. Her kindness and bright smile will truly be missed.
