It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Barcelone on Monday, June 16, 2026. A man of quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and warm spirit, Joe leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.

Joe was the beloved husband of Gerri Barcelone (née Montanero), the devoted father of Jennifer Johnson, Michael, and Joseph, and a proud father-in-law to James Johnson. He was a loving grandfather to Zachary Johnson and Casey Johnson, and is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Joe carried his sense of duty and service with him throughout his life. He went on to build a successful refrigeration and air conditioning business, earning him the affectionate nickname that followed him for decades — "Joe the Iceman."

Joe was known for his witty sense of humor and his refreshingly straightforward way of telling it like it was — qualities that endeared him to everyone he met. An avid baseball fan, he was a loyal and passionate supporter of the Oakland A's, and rarely missed a chance to talk about the game he loved.
