Jean Waterman DiSabatino,
age 68, devoted mother and grandmother passed away peacefully
at her home with her family by her side on Monday July 1, 2019. She was born on October
31,1950 to the late Kathryn and Waterman. Jean loved nothing more than spending time with
her children and grandchildren. She loved spending the day catching up on her favorite shows
or spending time reading the bible or singing along to her favorite music. The most joy came
from being able to give and help others in need anyway she could. She would give away her
last dollar if it meant it would help someone or put a smile on their face. Her entire life was
dedicated to others. So much so, that for over 10 years she counseled abused women at
Domestic Violence Center. She wanted to be able to do even more than counsel those in need,
so at the age of 40 while also being a single mother of 2 daughters, she went to college at
Lincoln University and graduated with a Masters Degree in Human Services. She then began
working as not only a Drug and Alcohol counselor but also as a Mobile Therapist for troubled
adolescents. She was so devoted and passionate about her job and had such a huge loving
heart for God that she even fostered a few children. Jean is survived by her 3 children: Alan
Brooks, Renee DiSabatino and Lyndsey DiSabatino, 6 granddaughters: Marly, Mya, Ava,
Arianna, Isabella and Christina, Loving sister Connie Hamilton, 2 nieces and 1 nephew
Her immediate family is having a celebration of Jeans Life after a private burial of her ashes on
the grave of her loving mother.
