Jan A. Rooney, aged 66, passed away comfortably and peacefully on 7/31/22 with her beloved husband by her side.
She was born on October 23,1955 to Charles "Gene" & Marjorie Strunk in Maryland. She spent her childhood traveling up and down the east coast, as her father was a lighthouse keeper in the United States Coast Guard.
Jan earned an Associate's Degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburg in graphic design and moved to New Jersey following her graduation.
She loved to spend time in her garden and will always be remembered for her green thumb. Among her favorite things to do were watching and feeding birds, searching for shells and sharks teeth along the beach, reading and completing puzzles.
Her life was made complete by spending time with her children, and most recently, grandchildren, baby DJ & Little M, who were all the lights of her life.
Jan is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Marjorie, and her two sisters Kimberlee and Wendy. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Daniel and their children & spouses: Matthew (32), Kimberlee (30), Milena (38), DJ (34), and Chris. She is also survived by her siblings Andrea and Wayne "Randy", and many nieces and nephews, and their spouses and children in Kentucky.
