Jimmy was bestowed the honor of Cumberland County Teacher of the Year. He was honored with a Teacher as a Hero Award with a plaque in the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. For his tireless contributions to the athletic program, Jimmy was inducted into the Cumberland Regional High School wall of fame. The list goes on and on of his educational contributions to his beloved school district.
Jimmy coached basketball, soccer, and tennis, although more than capable at instructing in all three sports, tennis was his passion. He was held in extremely high regard by the NJ tennis coaching community.
More than just an avid tennis player, Jimmy played on the pro circuit after university before deciding on his career as an educator and coach. Jimmy has won the Haddon Field Club Men's Singles Championship for the past three seasons. For his age group and an age group below, Jimmy ranked 1 and 2 in the Middle States for the past several years. When in the 50`s age group, Jimmy held a national Rank of 14th in the nation. Since eligible, Jimmy has played in both the national 65 clay and grass court tournaments. Last year he made it to the 3rd round of the national clay to lose to the eventual winner that year. Throughout Jimmy's playing years he has won far too many titles to list. Jimmy will be remembered as a true gentleman on and off the court.
