Earnest "Ernie" Permenter

11-02-58 to 9-12-23

Born in Bridgeton NJ, Ernie passed away peacefully at the age of 64 while in Inspira Hospital, Mullica Hill NJ.

A fun loving guy with a huge heart of gold who would do anything for anyone. He didn't take life too seriously and was always cracking jokes & making people laugh. He truly was the kind of guy who left a lasting impression on you and he lived his life his way.

Ernie's passions were fishing any chance he could get, owning & enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and owned 2 classic cars, one of which he restored himself over time.

Ernie was a skilled maintenance mechanic - there wasn't much he couldn't fix. He held the position of Maintenance Supervisor with his last employer, Best Western Hotel in West Deptford NJ.

Ernie is survived by his daughter Michele (Matt) Blanton and grandson Connor Blanton whom he cherished and adored.

Also survived by brothers Michael (Beth) Permenter, John (Christine) Permenter, Frederick (Diane) Permenter. Sisters Ellen (James) Ennis, Sandra Johnston and many nieces and nephews, who some would say he was "The Fun Uncle".

Predeceased in death by his parents John & Irene Permenter, sisters Susan Permenter & Shelley Snyder and brother in law Bruce Johnston.

Also survived by his his ex-mother in law Jean Meersand whom he thought of as his 2nd mother fondly and by his ex-wife & dear friend Danielle Permenter who remained by his side during and after their marriage on through to his passing.

A special Thank You to Jason Bowlin with Visiting Angels who was Ernie's live in caregiver and took exceptional care of him during his illness.
