Carole Joyce Lytell

August 7, 1940 – February 18, 2023

Carole Joyce Lytell (nee Lock) was born August 7, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of Elaine and Robert Lock, and sister to Roberta Horvath.  Carole was married to her husband Guy for over 59 years.  They met in high school and married while they were both finishing their Master's Degrees.  Carole and Guy raised their three (3) children, Matthew (Mili) Lytell, Andrea Lipieta and April (Gene) Shaw in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Carole was an amazing Wife, Mother, Homemaker and Librarian.  Her passions were anything her children or grandchildren were interested in – sports, cooking, stickers, stamps, books and the Mother of Twins Club.  She was always reading, recommending books, and volunteering at the library she started in her 55 and over community, where they moved to in later years in Woolwich Twp., NJ.  She also had a creative side and enjoyed making difficult needlepoint and ornaments for her family and friends.  She adored spending time with her four (4) grandchildren, Nicole, Natalie, James and Ainsley. She enjoyed snuggling, coloring, and sharing her love of books by reading to them.

Carole passed away on Saturday, February 18 ^th at home surrounded by family.  Please join us in celebration of her life at Trinity Episcopal Old Swedes Church, 1208 Kings Hwy, Swedesboro, NJ 08085 at 11 am on Saturday February 25, 2034.
